The "First Fleet"arrived...

Four years ago now, saw the first container load of Ural sidecars to come to Australia since 1987 we believe.
The launch, held in Armidale on 14th June 2008, attracted over a hundred and fifty enthusiasts from all over Australia keen to see the arrival of these sports utility and family adventure outfits. A range of speakers enlightened and entertained the crowd.
The Russian embassy delegate Mr Artyom Kozhin, a Ural rider himself, addressed the crowd. Well known motor sport commentator, Will Hagon, unveiled and launched the first of the 2008 models to have made it to the Australian shores.
Steve has collected his Ural T, loaded with accessories, and set off on his journey home via Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and across the Nullabor, as his planned trip to Alice Springs  and Kalgoorlie via the Great Central Road, had to be diverted due to excessive rain and road closures. Finally home to Bunbury, WA having had a great ride. 6462km on the clock
